In 1994 we opened our embroidery business at that time we used a competitors top of the line software. It was difficult and required a lot of time to digitize a design.
In 1999 we traded our software for Wilcom 45 after examining and “test driving” all the leading brands. We found that Wilcom was intuitive and much easier to use than our previous software and all of the competitors’ software we tried. I really can’t say enough about Wilcom. I love all the features.
We have always upgraded our software whenever a new version was released electing to stay at the top level each time. The features in the software make it easy to use and it turns out designs in a timely manner.

"I began hand embroidery and cross-stitch when I was six years old. Computers caught my fascination at seventeen.
We observed Wilcom products at an ISS show in Orlando February 2008. Wilcom combined my loves into “DecoStudio”. We purchased DecoStudio shortly thereafter. I found it to be user-friendly; but felt that control and creativity were increasingly important. My “work” now looked better and my satisfaction was greater, but it wasn’t enough. The time to move up had arrived. Wilcom presented the opportunity of additional levels with more intense products on their website.
My conversion to Embroidery Studio Level 2, July 2010, was the answer to my dreams. Embroidery Studio Level 2 is easier to use and even more user-friendly. The adage: 'Work smarter, not harder' has become my motto. A rough drawing is quickly converted to produce a design with real eye-catching flare. Stitch angles can be maneuvered and manipulated, different stitches – satin, tatami, can be incorporated to create the effects that I have been searching and striving for.
Thank you for your dedication in making WILCOM the best in the industry."

"I have been using Wilcom as a digitiser for nearly 10 years now and it is a top product. I use Embroidery Studio level 3 and I would recommend it to anyone who is considering it. I absolutely love the 'Apply closest join' function."

"I switched from [another software] to Wilcom ES® five years ago. Wilcom was easier to learn and has been a much more powerful tool. The Team Name function makes lettering for large groups a breeze. Being able to import the team names from an Excel® file means no typos on my end. Whatever the customer sends is what is directly imported into the Team Names file. The ability to call up any name or portion of a name makes re-orders effortless. Having total control over lettering allows me to modify and sew the small letters with excellent clarity. The wide array of editing tools allows stock designs to be quickly converted to custom logos for potential customers."

"The software is absolutely fantastic. I switched right from my previous software to Wilcom in a day and it's working great. It's making my life so much easier and productive now. Thank you so much."

"EmbroideryStudio is a awesome product. The best available. Wilcom's technical support team is the best I have ever worked with. They are there when you need help.
I have been with Wilcom about three years and they just keep getting better."

"The most common service support call we receive is usually a result of poor digitizing, particularly the lettering component. We see too few stitches, too many stitches, too wide stitches, unsupported stitches, wrong underlay, poor corners, bunched curves, no tie ins, and no tie outs. Of course, the first call for help is to us - the 'Machine Guys'. We are the first line of assistance for, pull outs, tears, thread breaks, distortion and looping. Our first response is usually: 'change the design and see if the problem disappears'.
Lettering is a specialty all on its own. It takes practice, experience, patience, skill and time to digitize lettering properly. If you have the time great! If not why not just use "Wilcom Perfect Lettering", right out of the box ,and couple it with your logo. Wilcom has been doing lettering for 30 years, use their expertise. Simple, fast, productive, accurate, legible and fewer thread breaks. (Translation..."1 less call to me!")

"We have used Wilcom software since 1991 when we bought our business. What we like best about Wilcom is that it is very user friendly. We also like the drawing tools, TrueView and complex fills."

"We’re so glad that we made the transition from our old software to Wilcom EmbroideryStudio. From being scared to digitize anything, we are now attempting everything. It has made our transition so easy and it built our confidence up. Especially when we see the smile on the customer’s face and we think that we actually did it ourselves!"
Marilyn
"I feel a lot more confident now in digitizing with my EmbroideryStudio software. When I first started it was like, never mind we’re not going to digitize, we’re just going to find a good digitizer and let him do it. At first we did do that until we got EmbroideryStudio and our confidence levels really shot up."

"The Wilcom software is really useful for increasing our capacity for doing work simulated learning within the college and we particularly need that foundation degree courses.
It’s been quite easy to start teaching Wilcom software, because you can use it from a basic point of view and then add extra skills when students become practised at a basic level so it’s important for them to learn how to digitize and then to actually add new ideas and innovations to that."

"I purchased your Wilcom EmbroideryStudio recently at the Western Alberta Imprint Canada Show. Clark spent considerable time with us over 2 days showing me all the new bells and whistles that your software had to offer. I decided to trade in my [other brand of software] so that I too could expand my horizons. Clark was wonderful, we were so impressed with her honesty, knowledge and tremendous enthusiasm.
I had many questions and challenges for her and I felt confident by the end of the show that I had finally found a professional embroidery system that not only did great embroidery, but offered technical support.
Clark certainly understated the level of commitment and support that Wilcom offers. Madonna and Clark should be recognized as Team Wilcom Superheros for their dedication to making Wilcom a leader in the industry. I'll certainly be sharing my experience with fellow digitizers.
My designs have been published in Designs In Machine Embroidery and I can't wait to chat to them soon and share what a wonderful experience Wilcom has been."

"I have been digitizing since 2001 using Wilcom and other software. Wilcom is by far the easiest and most intuitive to use, with many time-saving features. I recently had my first experience with Wilcom tech support after we upgraded our software & was very pleased. My questions were answered so that I easily understood the explanations, and when necessary, Maria walked me through a couple of more complicated procedures. I love digitizing, and Wilcom's ease of use only adds to that; I would not want to digitize using anything else!"

"I am so happy and excited! Not only have the people at Wilcom gone far beyond the expected to help me get setup, but my first client the next day wanted to have their existing art enlarged for another garment and another order. I simply brought up the existing embroidery design in the new Wilcom software, enlarged it and ran it. It ran better than the original! (The Wilcom stitch processor comes through again). It would have taken hours to do the same on my previous software and the result would have been marginal. It was everything Lee [Caroselli] said it would be!!!"

"When the company I used to work for wanted to purchase embroidery software I had to test almost all available embroidery softwares on the market at that time to see which one was the best. Wilcom was the best. I also worked couple of years with Pulse software and still value WILCOM as the best software on the market.
I have used Wilcom for 6-7 years. I now have EmbroideryStudio e1.5 Level 3. I love the integration with CorelDraw – the fact that you can move back and forth from Graphics Mode to Embroidery Mode with the click on a button; incorporating printing and embroidery in one place.
I love that I can customize each design with unique patterns. I love also Wilcom's Monogram feature. Monograms are becoming very big in this industry. I feel that I do not yet use all capabilities of this software, it offers so much more and I am still learning everyday. It feels great!
Embroidery Studio e1.5 has helped me in my business because it saves me a lot of TIME. It is a very valuable product and I am happy to be a part of the Wilcom Family. In my opinion EmbroideryStudio e1.5 is the greatest tool for creating designs - what I would call "The Art of Embroidery".

"Just wanted to send you a note about the Wilcom Embroidery Studio software. I got it Tuesday as promised and installed it. The installation went smoothly. I started experimenting with it and found out that ES is truly impressive. Setting up new designs is a snap. I'm still getting used to the new menu, but after using [other software] for 7 years that's to be expected. The interface with CorelDRAW X4 is amazing. So many of the designs that I had created with my old software started as CorelDRAW vectors. I'm working on converting the old design files to machine files, but in some cases I'm just using the original vector art to make new files in ES.
As I was using the program this afternoon an analogy popped into my head. If you’re into cars at all, the software I was using is like having a Chevy or a Ford. Pretty dependable and it'll get you where your going. This new program is like having a Ferrari. It gets you where your going much faster and it's much more fun getting there.
With so many people ready to complain at moments notice, I thought you might like to hear that you have a VERY satisfied customer."

"This is my 30th year as a digitizer. Starting on the old mechanical punching machines, I have been with the industry through many changes. Wilcom gives me the flexibility to go manual when I want to and to use all the excellent short cuts when I can."

"We use Wilcom software because it’s stitch engine is very powerful and it’s one of the best in the industry. I can rely on the engine and not worry about the end product once it’s stitched out. I like Wilcom software because I don’t like to digitize, and the auto fabric setting is really easy to use. One of the advantages of Wilcom software is that you can save the graphic and the stitch file all in one file, which allows you to keep everything together in just one file"

"We’re getting into really creative things. We have students who work in a really commercial way towards fashion application working with ideas for garment, placement designs but we also have students who want to see really how far they can push the technology. Things like using different yarns, different threads, shrinking fabrics after they’re stitched on and working with really long threads - all kinds of different things. So that’s where the excitement is for us and what we can do really"

"It allows me to set templates for my employees that ensures every product is going to be good quality. By creating quality, it increases productivity and ultimately the customer is very happy when they come to get the garment - which means it produces great revenue for me."

Sandra Fullerton - Embroiderer
The Sydney Morning Herald - The Sydney Magazine
Issue #73 May 2009 (page 38)
A Wilcom EmbroideryStudio user
Another embroiderer might have felt intimidated by having to work on the Pope Benedict's headdress but when Sandra Fullerton was asked to embroider medieval scrollwork in metallic gold and crimson silk on the papal mitre, she felt no fear. "It was a piece of cake."

"I would like to thank you for such a brill on line training session you are very clever and make things look very easy but I will get there. I have had [other] software for about 6 years and am now learning the Wilcom which is very different.
I have booked more of your [online] tutorials and I am looking forward to learning more. The great thing about these is that we are sent the videos from that particular lesson. What a great idea, as with so much to the program you can learn as you watch while going through it with the Wilcom software.
My little company is zodiac trimming...we trim cars, old or new and the great thing is the added embroidery that I can put on head rest or door panels etc... I use to work for Lotus Cars in the UK and while I was there I was the one who was mad on embroidery that I persuaded them to buy a embroidery machine that was about 5 years ago now and to this date they are still putting embroidery on their trim in their cars...."

(Regarding Balboa training and EmbroideryStudio)
"I can't even describe to you how thrilled I am with my new Wilcom software. Beyond that, the training videos, you have so generously included, are simply out of this world. Just wanted to take a moment to thank you and let you know that you have a new, very, very satisfied customer."

"What matters with embroidery software is how well it generates stitches. The "Stitch Engine" is the crucial part of any software. It's where all the math is done to calculate how stitches are created when you make a design.
I doubt you will find any other embroidery software that even comes close to the quality of Wilcom keyboard lettering. You will probably need and use keyboard lettering more than any other feature.
Another difference is how well a system converts "Stitch Data" into object data. This is key in your ability to edit existing stitch files. Many times you will need to change densities, underlays, resize, etc. This feature is very important and Wilcom is the best here I have ever seen. No other system even comes close."

"Of the other products I've looked at, it is my belief that Wilcom is perhaps the most user friendly and versatile, and with a little know how and experience it will give professional results every time. "I've been working with the new software since it's release and can honestly say Wilcom have improved on what was already an exceptional package. The new Fusionfill function is a particular favourite. It is easy to use, allowing you to create a single, complex object with holes and multiple stitch angles that previously would have meant creating several individual objects. The knife tool is another addition I find useful .It allows you to take any single object and dissect it in to many more. Thus giving the flexibility to alter the properties, stitch angles and even colour of any part of that particular section of the design."
